As we move forward in our Easter Season of worship, even though it looks like there’s light at the end of the Covid restriction tunnel, we still need to follow the guidelines set by the Diocesan Task Force.
So things are going to be different again. For the next seven weeks we can worship inside the church at 8:30am or watch online at 10:30am. While that may be disappointing to some, I find I’m actually looking forward to it. In the fall, I set my iPad up on our back deck, and with a mug of hot tea, I listened to the birds singing; I watched the leaves change colors weekly; heard an occasional boat going down the river. It truly was God’s sanctuary. In that peaceful place, I could listen to familiar words spoken by my St. Francis family, hear Cheryl’s beautiful music, surrounded by the very things God wants us to be mindful of.
So as we continue to evolve, I encourage you to find your peaceful, happy place. Take a few minutes before mass begins, and take in the world that God has given you. We are of one heart. We are on a back deck, or screened-in porch, or in a chair holding our puppy.
We are all one heart.
