The Ven. Rebecca Barger

The Ven. Rebecca Barger was ordained to the Order of Vocational Deacons on November 21, 2014. She began her diaconal ministry serving here on November 30, 2014. In September of 2019, The Rt. Rev. George Wayne Smith appointed her to serve as Archdeacon in the Diocese of Missouri and she continues to serve in that role under The Rt. Rev. Deon K. Johnson. Over the course of her ordained ministry, she has served on Diocesan Council and currently serves on the Commission on Ministry. Rebecca is an alumnus of The Episcopal School for Ministry where she earned a certificate in Theological Formation. She completed her Clinical Pastoral Education at Barnes Jewish Hospital and for her field education, she served at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Carondelet.

Rebecca lives with her husband, Phil, and their German Shepherd Dog, Adeline, in Chesterfield. Their daughter, Sarah, is in graduate school at Washington University of St. Louis.
