Eucharistic Minister

Eucharistic Ministers, often called chalice bearers, are members of the church that are licensed by the bishop to administer the consecrated elements of the eucharist. Including this ministry into the worship service signifies the active involvement and presence of the laity within the worshiping life of the parish.  Eucharistic Ministers assist in the worship service during the distribution of communion and are present with each person as they receive the wine; aware that receiving communion is a holy and spiritual moment for each recipient.
