Our diocesan summer camp will train 25 counselors and staff HERE at St. Francis beginning Friday, Aug 2 at 4pm through Saturday, August 3 at 12pm. This will be the first “overnight” hosted by St. Francis! Here is how you can help:
- Be a host: unlock the building, help them get settled. 4pm to 6pm on Friday, Aug 2nd
- Provide quick snack options: grab-and-go snacks for 25 counselors and staff that they can take as needed; buy in advance and deliver to St. Francis before Friday, Aug 2nd.
- Help to haul: coordinate with Rev. Erin to pick up camp supplies at the Cathedral downtown and transport to St. Francis and then to Camp Wyman. Pick up truck or van required.
- Provide Breakfast: a simple meal for the 25 staff and counselors; cook it yourself or drop off a continental breakfast before the training begins. Your choice! Needed by Saturday, Aug 3rd at 8am. This role is filled.
- Provide Dinner: a simple meal for the 25 staff and counselors; cook it yourself or order take-out. Your choice! 6pm on Friday, Aug 2nd. This role is filled.
Sign up by contacting the office or on the bulletin board at church.
If you are unable to volunteer in any of these capacities but want to extend support to Camp Phoenix, we invite you to pray these prayers of support for the staff and campers as camp nears.
