Kyle Butler

Kyle Butler previously served as a pastor in the United Methodist Church at various congregations in the St. Louis and Kansas City areas. At each congregation, Kyle always made building a vibrant children and youth ministry a key area of focus by launching programs, creating events to meet families in the community, and building relationships with community partners to serve others. 

Kyle served as the founding Executive Director of a nonprofit organization called LifeBridge that offers financial coaching, savings grants, a food market, and afterschool reading program to families in the Kirkwood, Mo area. Kyle also has a PhD in Systematic and Philosophical Theology from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California and for many years has taught courses in Medieval and Reformation Theology as well as Early Church History. Currently Kyle also works as a freelance web developer and an instructor in full stack web development.

Kyle’s wife Katie is the lead pastor at Kirkwood United Methodist Church and they have two boys. Kyle loves to run and/or hike and is an avid boardgamer, frequently attending gaming conventions and events around St. Louis such as Geekway to the West.
