You may have noticed–we have been adding opportunities for children and families here at St. Francis! But what you may not know is that the deepening of Sunday morning programs for families is part of a wider effort.
The 2025-2027 Strategic Plan, approved by our Leadership Team, includes a Goal called Developing Diverse Community of which one part is “Focus on Households with youth from 0 to 18 years old.” The hiring of Youth and Families Director Kyle Butler, enabled by the Diocese’s New Ventures Grant, created staff capacity by which metrics for that goal are being met.
You may want to review the Family Ministry Plan as presented to the Leadership Team which follows a consistent rhythm that provides weekly formation, monthly connection and participation, and quarterly opportunities for service and community-building.
In 2026-2027, the focus is on nursery and early elementary programming. Programming will progress in each age group in subsequent years.
