Blue Christmas, Sunday, December 21, 5pm with potluck following
Blue Christmas service includes reflective music, prayers, readings, and Scripture, acknowledging God’s presence and the hope of the coming Christ. This service speaks to those who need a quiet, reflective space in the midst of holiday chaos and to those who mourn or struggle in this season. Dr. Michael Booker preaching.

Christmas Eve Worship + Dinner, December 24, 5pm
Traditional Christmas Eve service with catered community meal following. Suggested price $20 per person. Parishioners are invited to bring a dessert to share. RSVP for dinner to Paul Jokerst or by signing up on the bulletin board by noon on Wednesday, December 17.

Christmas Morning Worship, December 25, 10:30am
A quiet, spoken service to celebrate the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Week of Rest, December 29—January 3
The Rule of Life in the Episcopal Church includes REST. During this week of Christmas, the parishioners and staff of St. Francis lean into REST–receiving the gift of God’s grace, peace and restoration. The building is closed and all programming is on pause.

Epiphany
The Feast of the Epiphany: Sunday, January 4, 8:30am and 10:30am
Kick off Epiphany–the season that celebrates the revealing of Christ to the world. Christ’s light brings life and hope. This light shines its brightest when we are in community with God and with one another! Share coffee hour and leave with a kit to bless your home for the coming year.

Who Is Our Neighbor? 5.0 Forum Series: January 4, 11, 25 and February 8 at 9:30am
Each year, through this forum series, our neighbors as well as local and regional leaders share the stories of those in need. Helping us to deepen and broaden our ability to serve as Jesus did. Watch newsletter and website for details.

Bishop Deon Visits Sunday, January 18
The Rt. Rev. Deon K. Johnson will spend a full morning with us on Sunday, January 18. He will be available for conversation during Forum at 9:30am, and will preside and celebrate baptism at the 10:30am service. Be here for this festive day of celebration! Stay after 10:30am for a cake and punch reception to follow.

Intergenerational Martin Luther King, Jr., Community Service Day at Wyman Center! Morning of January 19
Join as we commemorate the life and legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr,. through hands-on service projects in support of Wyman’s mission to empower teens from economically disadvantaged circumstances to lead successful lives and build strong communities. Details forthcoming.

Annual Meeting, Sunday, February 1, during 10:30am worship
This meeting is required by Canons (rules of the Episcopal Church) in the beginning of the year. Here the entire parish gathers to elect new leaders, hear about financial status, and celebrate the ministry and mission of the church. Join this celebration and sign up for the one-of-a-kind St. Francis potluck meal to follow!

“Shrove Sunday,” February 16, 2026
Shrove Tuesday immediately precedes Ash Wednesday and the start of Lent. Because of the distance of many parishioners from our church, we celebrate “Shrove Sunday” instead so more can participate! Men’s Group will prepare a pancake breakfast; all are welcome to join for breakfast at 11:30am. To join in prep work, contact Joe O’Reilly. Phone number available in office.
